Synthetic Leather Upper
The upper of the Asics Gel-Mission works to add sufficient durability and protection for your feet, especially during high impact activities such as trail walking or covering difficult terrain. Not only is the shoe practical, it is also sleek and stylish with a fashionable look for walking around town or the city centre. Effective moisture management is also provided by the upper, with moisture wicking properties eradicating the build-up of excess sweat and moisture to leave your feet feeling cool, dry and comfortable. Cool air is also encouraged to circulate, creating a drier, healthier environment for your feet to thrive in.
A removable EVA sockliner moulds to the shape of your feet and can be removed to accommodate a medical orthotic. Light in weight, the shoe reduces any unwanted bulk to improve focus and performance as you strive for the best results. Further comfort is provided by the padded tongue which sits nicely against the skin and guards against irritation such as chafing. The traditional lacing system helps to keep the feet secure inside the shoe, for a locked-in feel. Rounding off the upper is synthetic overlays, which prevent friction from causing distraction or discomfort.
Cushioned Midsole
The midsole of the Asics Gel-Mission is all about cushioning and comfort, to improve comfort and responsiveness to help performance. A rearfoot GEL cushioning system attenuates shock during impact phase, allowing for a smoother transition to midstance and improving gait efficiency. This minimises the risk of potential injuries by reducing the wear and tear placed upon the joints.
AHAR Outsole
Asics High Abrasion Rubber (AHAR) is located in the outsole for durability and stability, even on the difficult and unpredictable terrain. The rubber compound is placed in critical areas of the outsole for heightened durability as well as a firm, assured footing. Working in conjunction with AHAR is a trusstic system, which reduces the weight of the sole unit whilst retaining the structural integrity of the shoe.
