Description
Hoka TenNine Hike GORE-TEX Walking Boots
Part hovercraft and part hiking boot, the TenNine Hike GORE-TEX offers peak cushioning, durability and traction with an extended, Hubble heel geometry. Engineered for an exceptionally smooth ride, this bold, new profile creates an efficient heel-to-toe transition. Thoughtfully designed through the lens of sustainability, the TenNine Hike utilises GORE-TEX Leaf technology in its waterproof bootie, as well as recycled Polyester through the collar, laces, heel pull and vamp webbing. Surprisingly smooth and exceptionally cushioned, this long-distance hiker employs Vibram’s Litebase construction with a Megagrip outsole compound that reduces weight without reducing durability. Go ahead, hike forever.
GORE-TEX Upper
The upper of the Hoka TenNine Hike GORE-TEX Walking Boot is constructed with lightweight, high abrasion-resistant mesh. This provides maximum protection to your feet whilst also promoting breathability. The mesh allows cool air to permeate the construction and hot air to escape, preventing an intolerable build-up of heat and creating the perfect environment for your feet to thrive in. GORE-TEX Leaf technology provides waterproof protection in a sustainable way, shedding water and keeping your feet dry on the trails by sealing out the elements. The Ariaprene tongue provides comfort, breathability and water management. It works to wick sweat and moisture away from the foot where it can be evaporated, leaving your feet feeling cool and dry. An abrasion rubber toe cap provides enhanced durability and protection from potential bumps and knocks whilst hiking, protecting your toes and the shoes from damage. Internal tongue wings provide foot lockdown, for a secure yet comfortable fit, whilst the lycra vamp adjusts the fit to accommodate foot swelling over long distances. A heel collar pull tab provides extra support and comfort, and a lacing system with metal lacing hardware allows you to create the perfect fit.
Compression Moulded EVA Midsole
Compression Moulded EVA Foam has been used in the construction of the Hoka TenNine Hike GORE-TEX Walking Boots midsole. This proprietary new midsole provides stable footing and absorbs impact points for exceptional comfort and cushioning. The EVA is designed to support your natural form whilst encouraging an efficient, smooth roll from initial impact to toe-off, all whilst providing shock attenuation and superior comfort for reduced fatigue in the feet, legs, and core.
Hubble geometry is used in the midsole of the TenNine Hike and is designed to provide a stable, smooth ride. This innovative midsole geometry is built with an aerodynamic design that enables you to capitalize on natural momentum like never before. The wider platform is designed to maximize ground contact and provide stable footing.
Vibram Litebase and Vibram Megagrip Outsole
This long-distance hiker employs Vibram’s Litebase construction with a Megagrip outsole compound. Vibram Megagrip provides a full ground contact design. The aggressive Vibram lugs offer great grip and traction on multi-surfaces for a truly stable and comfortable hike. Having exceptional traction will allow you to tackle difficult or arduous terrain with full confidence as well as comfort. In addition, multi-directional lugs take supreme grip up a notch, keeping you on your feet on varied terrains whether ascending or descending, wet or dry.
